Fall Ram Welcome Frequently Asked Questions
  1. I have a question about residence halls (room decorating, furniture options, what to bring, room policies, etc.). Where can I find more information? Please see our Housing/Dining Frequently Asked Questions page.
  2. What is Ram Welcome: Experience CSU? How is this different from other Orientation programs? Ram Welcome: Experience CSU! is an exciting experience designed for every new student. It begins on Thursday, August 21, 2008 and continues through the weekend before classes begin. Ram Welcome builds on other orientation programs for new students, including Preview, Next Step, and CSU Connect. Ram Welcome: Experience CSU! is a campus-wide collaboration co-coordinated by the Office of the Vice President for Student Affairs and Orientation and Transition Programs in the Center for Advising and Student Achievement (CASA). It is designed to assist you with the transition into CSU. Participating in Ram Welcome is an excellent way to get to know other students, faculty, and staff at CSU. You will have the opportunity to meet your professors, learn about invaluable campus resources, and become better connected to both CSU and the Fort Collins community. Ram Welcome will help you learn about academic expectations, campus traditions, and what it means to be a CSU Ram!
  3. Am I expected to attend every Ram Welcome event? Yes!! You are strongly encouraged to participate in all Ram Welcome activities, as it will help ease your transition to CSU. On Thursday evening, a mandatory commuter student meeting will be held at 5:00 pm. and students living in the Residence Halls are required to attend their floor meeting. All new students are required to attend College Day activities on Friday from 9:00am to 3:30pm. The evening activities present a relaxing and fun environment to help you connect with other new students and the campus community. The CSU Photo on Saturday morning is a wonderful CSU tradition, celebrating the entering class of students each year. Check out the full Ram Welcome schedule and plan to attend the optional activities throughout the rest of the weekend.
